Workero by P&G is bringing its InQbet members an exclusive three-part series of EU events during the months of July and September.

EU Talk: Funding and Project Opportunities

Workero by P&G is opening its InQbet campus to host a special three-part series of EU events during the months of July and September, called EU Talk. Anyone -whether part of the Workero ecosystem or not – is welcome to register and attend.

Startups, entrepreneurs and innovators might not always be aware of the subsidy opportunities that the Horizon Europe programme offers, and therefore we have decided to bring in three representatives from three European Organisations who will showcase some of the project and funding opportunities available to startups and innovators in 2021.

We will have A.SPIRE (sustainability) ALICE (mobility), and BBI (bio-based technology) presenting their missions, objectives, and the programme of upcoming 2021 fund research projects. This is a great opportunity to learn more about EU funding possibilities (under the EU funding program 2021-2027), and get inspired by the many opportunities available!

These virtual events will respectively take place on the:

  • 6th of July: A.SPIRE
  • 9th of July: ALICE
  • And the 9th of September: BBI

Each session will run from 2 to 3 pm, and consist of a 40 minute presentation, followed by a 20 minute Q&A section.

Important: upfront registration is mandatory for these events!

More about A.SPIRE, ALICE and BBI

A.SPIRE: 6 July

A.SPIRE is the European Association that is committed to managing and implementing the A.SPIRE Public-Private Partnership. This partnership consists of bringing together the eight sectors of cement, ceramics, chemicals, engineering, minerals and ores, non-ferrous metals, pulp and paper, refining, steel and water, with European authorities. Through this Public-Private Partnership, A.SPIRE’s aim is to promote the competitiveness and sustainability of manufacturing in Europe. As such, A.SPIRE is dedicated to innovation in resource and energy efficiency in the process industries.

ALICE: 9 July

The European Technology Platform, ALICE, was established to develop a comprehensive strategy for research, innovation and market deployment of logistics and supply chain management innovation in Europe. This platform supports, assists, and advises the European Commission on the implementation of the EU Program for research: Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe in the area of Logistics. ALICE engages with several different kinds of stakeholders operating in the Logistics sector.

BBI: 9 September

The Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) is a public-private partnership between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) aiming to strengthen and structure the bio-based industries sector in Europe. BBI JU’s mission is to implement, under Horizon Europe 2020 rules, the Strategic Innovation and Research Agenda (SIRA). This document, developed by BIC after wide consultation and endorsed by the European Commission, identifies the main technological and innovation challenges that need to be addressed in Europe’s bio-based economy.

BBI JU finances projects that address these strategic challenges through yearly calls for proposals. The programme is fully open, so all SMEs, universities, research centres and other actors from all over the EU can create project consortia and apply for BBI JU funding by submitting a project proposal.
